Revolutionising Luxury Yachting: Goolets Unveils Eco-friendly Superyacht Fleet

Goolets, a highly regarded international yacht charter company with 18 years of industry experience, is excited to announce its appointment as the Central Agent for a remarkable fleet of 10 superyachts that revolutionise sustainability in the yachting industry.
These extraordinary “smart vessels” have been meticulously designed with a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability, resulting in dramatically reduced fuel consumption compared to their counterparts. In fact, they consume less than half the fuel, making them a truly sustainable choice for luxury yacht charterers who care about the planet.

Goolets’ commitment to sustainability goes hand in hand with offering a more affordable option for larger groups, without compromising on quality. Unlike traditional superyachts that can only accommodate up to 12 guests with a hefty price tag exceeding €250k per week, Goolets’ fleet can comfortably accommodate up to 39 guests and starts at just €40k per week, inclusive of food and fuel.

Not only do these uniquely designed yachts provide a luxurious onboard experience, privacy, exclusivity, and 5-star service, but they also offer an unparalleled opportunity to appreciate the stunning beauty of the Adriatic Sea in an environmentally friendly manner.

“We are thrilled to offer our clients a new fleet of superyachts that redefine luxury yachting with their exceptional fuel efficiency,” said CEO Mitja Mirtic. “We firmly believe that luxury should not come at the expense of our planet, and we are committed to providing our clients with an environmentally conscious alternative that is both affordable and luxurious.”

Recognised by esteemed media outlets such as CNN, Boat International, and Forbes, Goolets’ dedication to excellence is evident. The company consistently receives overwhelmingly positive reviews from satisfied clients who appreciate the exceptional service and the unforgettable memories created during their charters.

Due to high demand, Goolets’ 2023 booking schedule is almost full, and the 2024 season is already seeing a significant increase in interest for these exceptional eco-friendly yachts. Interested parties are strongly advised to secure their preferred charter dates promptly to avoid disappointment.

Fuel Consumption Information

As a general guide, FREEDOM consumes on average 100 litres per hour when travelling at 10 mph / 16 km/h / 8.6 knots.

In comparison, a similarly sized yacht with a cruising speed of around 12 knots / 13.8 mph could consume approximately 100-200 litres of fuel per hour per engine, total 200-400 litres of fuel per hour for both engines.

If both vessels are travelling at 10 miles per hour, we need to calculate the fuel consumption for both FREEDOM and the similarly sized yacht at this speed.

FREEDOM consumes 100 litres per hour when travelling at 10 mph, as mentioned.

For the similarly sized yacht, which has a cruising speed of around 12 knots (approximately 13.8 mph), we can estimate its fuel consumption at this speed. Given that it consumes 200-400 litres of fuel per hour for both engines, we can assume an average fuel consumption of 300 litres per hour for both engines.

To convert from mph to knots, we can use the conversion factor: 1 knot = 1.15078 mph.

So, 10 mph is approximately 8.7 knots.

Now, we can estimate the fuel consumption for both vessels at 10 knots:

  • FREEDOM: 100 litres per hour
  • Similarly sized yacht: Approximately 300 litres per hour for both engines.

Therefore, if both vessels are traveling at 10 knots, the estimated fuel consumption would be around 100 litres per hour for FREEDOM and 300 litres per hour for the similarly sized yacht.

Thus, FREEDOM consumes approximately 1/3 of the fuel per hour compared to traditional superyachts, resulting in significantly lower pollution and greatly reduced environmental impact.
